Lunch Time
Junior students (1st, 2nd, 3rd Years) are not permitted by the school authorities to leave the school premises during the school day i.e. between the hours of 8.45 a.m. and 3.50 p.m. Junior students will need to bring a healthy packed lunch. Light hot snacks will be available at a low-cost during lunch break for your family’s convenience.
Senior students (4th, 5th & 6th Years) will be permitted to leave the school premises at lunch time, parents/guardians of senior students who do not wish their child to leave the school grounds need to notify the school in writing.
Student Journal
A revised edition of the Student Journal will be operational from the start of the new school year. The student journal is a key means of communication between school and parents/guardians. Communications/notes to parents are included in a section of the journal. I kindly ask you to familiarize yourself with its contents. Parents are required to sign their son/daughters journal each week. A copy of our revised code of behaviour is in the student journal for your information.
Mobile Phones
Coláiste Eoin does not permit mobile phones to be used by students on the school premises at any time of the school day i.e. from 8.45 a.m. to 3.50 p.m. daily without exception. Should there be changes to our mobile phone policy, parents will be consulted with respect to same.
Student Progress Reports
Formal Student Progress Assessments for 2020/2021 will continue to take place four times during the year, in October, November/December, February/March and May. These assessments will be communicated through VSware to families.
Yours sincerely,
Alan Costello,
Príomhoide.
